Answering Service Customer Service Representative

Redding Answering Service is a well-established 24-hour answering service looking to build a strong team at our location in Redding California.

Salary: $10.00 per hour

Education: High School Diploma

Job Overview: Redding Answering Service is an established 24-hour answering service call center looking to build a strong team in Redding California.

Our work is not seasonal. We guarantee you 40-hours per week, along with health insurance for you and your dependents.

We’re hiring for second shift hours, which is between 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. (noon to midnight). Since we’re a 24/7/365 business, you must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

As an answering service operator, you will handle inbound calls within the guidelines and goals established by our management and clients. Typical calls involve taking messages and emergency-dispatch for medical, commercial, and government clients.

This position requires excellent communication skills, an enthusiastic approach to customer interactions, and attention to detail. In addition, you must have the ability to effectively handle information requests, compliments, and complaints with a positive attitude.

Job Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Call center, answering service, or multi-line phone experience
  • Basic PC use and typing skills
  • Superior listening and problem-solving skills
  • Clear, professional verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to effectively summarize information
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
